SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: (Noor Ali Wazir) South Waziristan District Health Officer Dr. Adnan Dawar today paid a detailed visit to Spin Village Civil Hospital and directed provision of all necessary equipment required for the hospital to keep it functional for 24 hours.
He met with the medical staff and local community representatives. During the visit, the DHO made it clear that no single negligence will be tolerated in connection with duty and facilities to the patients.
The DHO has appealed for full cooperation from the people of Spin village in making Spin Civil Hospital fully functional and has said that highly qualified medical doctors will be deployed in the hospital so that quality medical facilities can be provided to the people.
Dr. Adnan Dawar inspected the Gynaecology Centre, Laboratory, Wards, Medical Store and Doctors’ Office, while also assuring that residential buildings and water facilities for the medical staff will be provided soon.
He said that on the special instructions of the constituency MNA and MPA, Spin Civil Hospital will be converted into a functional and effective health centre for the area, so that the local population can get timely medical facilities.
According to the DHO, six doctors and technicians from different departments have been deployed in the Spin Village Civil Hospital, and now 24-hour monitoring will be done to improve the performance of the hospital by changing the staff.
He made it clear that if any staff member, from class four employees to doctors, shows negligence, strict action will be taken against them, and no one will be given any concession in this regard.
It may be recalled that the new District Health Officer immediately started practical steps for the improvement of the health sector in South Waziristan Lower as soon as he took charge and expressed hope for the cooperation and support of the public in this mission.
