BANNU: Angry residents of Bannu district staged a protest outside the local Grade Station on Wednesday over prolonged power outages amid extreme heat.
Demonstrators complained about excessive load shedding, making life difficult in the scorching weather.
As tensions rose, protesters attempted to enter the Grade Station but were stopped by officials who closed the gates to prevent them from entering.
The protesters warned that if electricity was not restored to all areas soon, they would take matters into their own hands and forcibly restore power.
