The US State Department of States has admitted the failure of the ongoing ceasefire talks with Hamas in Qatri capital Doha and called off his team from the Middle Eastern country.
Deputy Spokesperson for the US Department of State Tommy Pigott confirmed that the US delegation has been recalled due to the lack of progress in the ongoing talks in Doha. According to Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Pigott, Hamas did not show seriousness for a ceasefire in the talks.
He said that US Special Envoy Steve Votkoff has been clearly told that Hamas is not emerging as a serious party. Tommy Pigott added that the US is considering effective alternative methods for the release of hostages in Gaza so that an acceptable solution to the issue can be found.
The Deputy Spokesperson said that the US is fully aware of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and remains committed to assisting the victims. On the other hand, the deputy spokesman also expressed Washington’s deep concern over the recent tensions between Thailand and Cambodia. He said that the United States seeks peace and stability in the region and appeals to all parties to exercise restraint.
It is worth mentioning here that the United States and Israel have always accused Hamas of failure in talks, while Hamas is of the view that how could they surrender in the presence of Israeli forces in Gaza, as Israeli forces are not serious about abandoning atrocities against innocent people.
The Hamas termed Israeli negotiations failure as a pretext to buy more time for killing the innocent women and children of Gaza. Hamas said that they are ready for long war of attrition with Israel in case of failure in the dialogue.
