PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati submitted a formal letter to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday, requesting the formation of an inquiry committee to transparently investigate allegations made by former Senator Azam Khan Swati during a public gathering in Mansehra.
The KP assembly speaker, Babar Saleem Swati has submitted a formal letter to the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkwha, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, seeking formation of an inquiry committee to transparently probe the corruption allegations leveled by the former senator and PTI’s senior leader, Azam Khan Swat in a public meeting in Mansehra last week.
Babar Saleem Swati in the letter urged the CM that being a custodian of the KP assembly he is responsible and answerable to public and available for accountability and he believe in the protection of public interest and transparent governance.
The speaker said in the letter it was essential to probe the allegations made against the elected representatives of Mansehra as he himself elected from the Mansehra constituency PK-37 and think such baseless allegations would damage their reputation.
Former senator Azam Khan Swati had accused the elected representatives from Mansehra constituencies are being involved in corruption, however, the MPAs elect from Mansehra individually termed the allegations baseless.
