NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Due to security concerns, the curfew in the sensitive district of North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been extended. According to a notification issued by the district administration, curfew will remain in place across North Waziristan on Sunday, July 27 as well.
Officials stated that the curfew will be enforced from 5 AM to 7 PM, during which all main roads will be closed to public traffic, and security forces will have full authority. Citizens have been urged to avoid unnecessary movement and cooperate with the district administration.
The notification further stated that the purpose of the curfew is to maintain law and order in the area and protect residents from potential threats. It is worth noting that a curfew was also imposed in North Waziristan the previous day.
District and security officials said that the situation is being continuously monitored and any decision to extend the curfew further will depend on evolving circumstances.
