NOWSHERA: Residents of Nowshera strongly protested against the illegal load shedding of electricity in Risalpur area and warned to attack WAPDA house if duration of loadshedding was not reduced
Holding banners and placards the, protesters closed GT Road for traffic and criticized Shehbaz Sharif government for their miseries. They said that the patience of citizens has paid off due to the ongoing severe load shedding and non-repair of damaged transformers in Risalpur.
Protesters blocked the GT Road while which severely affected the flow of traffic and caused long queues of vehicles. The protesters said that the hours-long load shedding has destroyed their business, and PESCO does not take any action when transformers are damaged, but rather the people get them repaired from their own pockets.
The protesters demanded that the government and PESCO officials stop the unnecessary load shedding and immediately repair the transformers. They said that the WAPDA and federal government have badly affected the lives of the people and they are not interested to reduce the miseries of the people.
