SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: The local community of Wana South Waziristan severely criticised the PTI representative for holding useless protests and said that if the elected MNAs and MPAs of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are truly honest with the people, then they should first focus on resolving the public problems of their constituencies.
Talking to Pakhtun Digital residents of the area, said that there was no justification for the PTI to protest in South Waziristan, especially in Wana. If the protest is being held to express solidarity with the party founder or leadership, then they should hold it in places like Islamabad, Bani Gala or Adiala Jail?
They added that in Wana, the entire Waziristan, numerous serious problems have disrupted the lives of the people. They said that unemployment and a poor security situation have badly affected the people, especially the youth of the area.
There is no health and medical facilities to deal with health emergencies, and most of the patients travel to Peshawar and DI Khan for medical treatment. The rise, law and order situation is continuously deteriorating, and there is a severe lack of basic facilities like health and education.
They pointed out that most of the elected representative from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially in the tribal districts, prefer their party’s politics and narrative over local issues. Their role is mostly limited to rallies, press conferences and party support.
The PTI government’s lofty claims in the name of “change”, especially regarding the newly merged tribal districts, have mostly failed to be implemented. Promises like providing employment opportunities to the youth, restoring infrastructure, improving education and health institutions have remained mere declarations.
They urged their elected representatives to focus on services to their public and performance rather than protest and politics, as they could not deceive the people with protest, and they are now waiting for developmental projects and uplift of the area.
