PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has issued orders for the transfer of 7 officers, including the Deputy Commissioner of Kohat.
The Establishment Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued a notification regarding the transfers on Wednesday.
According to the notification, Deputy Commissioner Kohat Abdul Karam has been directed to report to the Establishment Department, while Deputy Secretary Health Department Rahimullah has been posted as Deputy Commissioner Kohat. According to another notification, Farrukh Jadoon of Grade 17 has been posted as Assistant Chief, RD Planning and Development Department. Similarly, Akhtar Munir, who is awaiting posting, has been posted as Section Officer, Foreign Training Centre, P&D. Akhlaq Ahmed, who is awaiting posting, has been posted as Section Officer, Establishment, P&D. Lubna Iqbal has been posted as Section Officer, B&A Development and Planning Department. In addition, Taswar Iqbal has been posted as Section Officer, P&D Department.

In connection with a series of Jirgas regarding law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the tribal elders have called for a grand Jirga and urged the government to prioritise peace for the regional development.
A series of regional jirgas are being held to establish law and order in the province under the hosting of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur.
The third consultative jirga in this series was held today at the Chief Minister’s House, Peshawar, in which a large number of tribal elders, public representatives and senior government officials participated.
Tribal elders of North Waziristan District, South Waziristan Upper, South Waziristan Lower, tribal subdivisions Wazir, Betni, Darazandha and Jandola participated in the jirga.
In addition, representatives of various political parties, members of the relevant national and provincial assemblies, Advisor to the Chief Minister Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Senator Noorul Haq Qadri, Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police, concerned commissioners, deputy commissioners and police officers also became part of the jirga.
During the jirga, the participants appreciated the Chief Minister’s initiative in establishing a consultative process for law and order and paid tribute to his efforts.
