PESHAWAR: Justice S.M. Attique Shah was sworn in as the acting Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court on Friday. The oath was administered by the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, at the Governor’s House in Peshawar. The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, along with senior judges and lawyers from the Peshawar High Court. Governor Kundi and Chief Minister Gandapur congratulated Justice Attique Shah on assuming his new responsibilities and expressed hope that under his leadership, the judicial system would become more effective and efficient in the province. Justice Attique Shah has held several key positions, including leadership roles at the High Court Bar Association and District Bar Association. He also served as the Additional Attorney General from 2013 to 2017.
