Pakistan has officially launched its first e-sports policy to promote the gaming industry and train young talent in competitive gaming. The policy aims to develop educational courses, support professional training, and enable participation in international e-sports tournaments.
Federal Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja described the move as a major milestone in the country’s digital transformation. She emphasized that the policy will create new job opportunities in gaming and help Pakistani players compete globally.
The initiative is expected to boost the growing gaming sector, providing structured pathways for players, developers, and investors. With this policy, Pakistan joins other nations in recognizing e-sports as a legitimate and economically significant industry.
