Today is the last day to submit applications for those registered under the government scheme of Hajj 2026.
On the instructions of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, specific branches of 14 authorized banks across the country will remain open from 9 am to 2:30 pm on Saturday as well so that registered people can submit their applications.
According to officials, in just four days, a total of 455,000 people from Pakistan and Azad Kashmir registered, but out of them, only 60,000 people have submitted their applications to banks so far.
For the first time, the quota of the government scheme has been allocated 70 percent and the private scheme 30 percent. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has clarified that today is the last day to submit applications for those who have already registered, while those who could not register earlier can submit applications from August 9 to 16, 2025.
According to sources, if the applications received between August 9 and 16 fall short of the prescribed quota, the possibility of extending the application date is not being ruled out.
The State Bank of Pakistan has issued instructions to 14 authorized banks to keep their respective branches open.
