SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: The inaugural ceremony of the Sports Week was held at Musa Nika Public School and College, in which students and teachers from different areas participated enthusiastically to make the event colourful.

According to the school administration, the sports gala has been organised under its support and will continue for a week. Along with traditional sports like tug-of-war and javelin throwing, exciting competitions in cricket, football, and volleyball have also been started in the event, which will not only provide entertainment to students but also an opportunity for physical exercise.

The special guest, Principal of Government High School, Kadrikot, Muhammad Nawaz, said that students and teachers from 30 schools across the district participated, and the students of Musa Nika School were declared the most active and talented, like students from other parts of the country.

He said that with the availability of facilities, students will be able to enjoy sports more, and the players who secured prominent positions in the exciting competitions were awarded prizes. The organisers have also requested the cooperation of the Sports Department so that such positive activities can continue.

It should be remembered that Musa Nikah School is a historic educational institution that is supported by the Ahmadzai Wazir tribes. The school is not only involved in educational activities but also in imparting physical and extra-curricular training to the students.

South Waziristan district has recently been merged into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and there is a severe shortage of sports grounds and entertainment facilities to provide a healthy environment to the students. This sports week will highlight the importance of physical health.
