The Rawalpindi police on Tuesday took the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s sisters into custody from outside Adiala Jail.
Sources say that police have taken Aleema Khan and Noreen Khan, sisters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, into custody near Adiala Jail.
Both were stopped at a checkpoint near the jail when they were going to meet Imran Khan.
Police also arrested several PTI workers who were present around the jail during the operation.
Later, Rawalpindi police took both the sisters into custody and left for Chakri Interchange.
Earlier, Aleema Khan had staged a sit-in near Adiala Jail along with lawyer Salman Akram Raja and other legal team.
She said that she would not leave until she was allowed to meet Imran Khan.
She also said that she was stopped about two kilometers from the jail and was deprived of the meeting.
