Police clash with robbers in Pabbi; One shot, one arrested

Police arrested a wanted criminal, Imtiaz Hussain, following an armed encounter in the Tambulak area of Bypass Road. The accused, a resident of Para Chinar (Rawalpindi), was wanted in multiple serious cases across different police stations.

NOWSHERA: Police engaged in a gunfight with suspected robbers (snatchers) in the Pabbi area on Wednesday, resulting in one suspect being injured and another captured.

According to Pabbi Police Station Head Officer (SHO) Ashfaq Khan, officers acted swiftly after receiving information that a two-man robbery team was active in the area planning to commit crimes.

When police approached, the suspects opened fire. The police officers returned fire in self-defense.

During the exchange, one suspect, identified as Sohail, was wounded. His accomplice was arrested immediately at the scene. Police also recovered weapons from the suspects.

The injured suspect, Sohail, was rushed to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) in Peshawar for treatment. The arrested suspect is currently in police custody.

Police stated that an investigation is ongoing. They are questioning the arrested suspect and looking for evidence connecting the pair to other recent robbery incidents in the area.
