PESHAWAR: Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, the Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), submitted his resignation following consecutive criticisms from party leadership and opposition parties, it emerged on Sunday.

Government sources confirmed that Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur received the resignation from Saif, who serves as the Assistant on Information. However, the Chief Minister chose to reject the resignation.

According to sources, Barrister Saif had initially presented his resignation at the Chief Minister’s residence a few days earlier, but the Chief Minister urged him to remain in office.

During this encounter, Saif expressed that he was not seeking a position but enduring the criticism for the sake of Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.

The Chief Minister reassured Saif, encouraging him to continue his duties and disregard criticism from both inside and outside the party, stating that it was enough that Imran Khan had appointed him as minister.
