There is a possibility of another change in the prices of petroleum products in the country, which is expected to be implemented from August 16.
The petroleum industry has recommended a reduction of Rs 11.75 in the price of diesel.
According to the recommendations, the current price of diesel is likely to be reduced from Rs 285.83 per litre to Rs 274.8. A slight increase in the price of petrol has also been suggested, after which the price per liter may increase from Rs 264.61 to Rs 265.93.
A reduction of Rs 6.25 per litre in the price of kerosene has been recommended, after which it may decrease from Rs 185.46 to Rs 179.21 per litre.
Similarly, the price of light diesel oil is also expected to decrease by Rs 7.11, which will reduce its new possible price from Rs 170.36 to Rs 163.25 per litre.
Keeping these recommendations in mind, OGRA has prepared a summary regarding possible price changes and sent it to the federal government.
The new prices will be officially announced by the Ministry of Finance after the approval of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
