PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s KP Provincial Minister for Agriculture, Muhammad Sajjad , confirmed devastating impacts on the province’s agriculture from recent floods. Speaking to Pakhtun Digital, Sajid stated that beyond tragic human losses, floods have crippled the agricultural sector with damage that “may take years to restore.”

Minister Sajjad highlighted critical damage: widespread land surface erosion and irreversible loss of soil fertility. He emphasized the severity, noting recovery efforts would extend far beyond immediate relief.

On directives from Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Sajjad announced an urgent three-day assessment of agricultural losses will begin immediately. “We will be able to assess the losses within three days by mobilizing our teams,” he affirmed.
