KOHAT: Seven people were shot dead and another sustained injuries when unidentified assailants opened fire in Regi Shino Khel, Kohat.
According to initial reports, the victims had gone to Tanda Dam for a picnic when gunmen ambushed them. Police reached the scene soon after being informed, shifting the bodies to a hospital and launching an investigation. A search operation has been initiated to trace the attackers, while the surrounding area has been cordoned off.
Meanwhile, in Lahore’s Shahdara Town, a suspected robber was killed during an encounter with the Crime Control Department (CCD). Police said the suspect was fatally struck by gunfire from his own accomplices during the shootout. The deceased was reportedly wanted in several criminal cases.
