Central leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), Aimal Wali Khan, has questioned the federal government over its failure to implement the 18th Constitutional Amendment, urging immediate changes in the federation’s approach toward Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Speaking at the All Parties Conference (APC), Aimal reiterated that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights to all nations, and his party is only demanding what is legally and constitutionally owed to them.
“We talk about Pakistan by controlling our emotions,” he said. “But if demanding constitutional rights is considered treason, then how will the supremacy of the Constitution ever be established in this country?”
Aimal Wali criticised the ongoing marginalisation of KP and Balochistan, saying that while other provinces are progressing, resources in these two regions are being misused and people are deprived of their basic rights.
He emphasised that all registered political parties participated in the APC, proving that the country’s challenges can only be resolved through constitutional dialogue and collective efforts.

“We believe in dialogue, but no one listens,” he lamented, expressing hope that political parties would unite to find sustainable solutions to national issues.
