A cloudburst in the Gadoon Darudai area of Topi Tehsil in Swabi District has caused the complete collapse of 10 to 12 houses. Approximately 40 to 50 people are believed to be trapped under the rubble, and rescue operations are currently underway.
Rescue personnel, along with members of the Pakistan Army and local volunteers, are actively involved in the search and recovery efforts. So far, the bodies of eight individuals have been recovered from the debris, and funeral prayers have been held for them. Additionally, three injured individuals, including a young child, have been rescued alive.
Rescue teams report that more people are still buried beneath the rubble, and efforts continue to reach them. The atmosphere in the area is one of intense fear and panic, as affected families are left to seek shelter under the open sky.
