The meeting, attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, EU, and NATO officials, focused on the ongoing war. Reports indicate Russia demands control over the remaining Donbas region for peace. Ukraine has signaled potential withdrawal from eastern areas annexed by Russia.
President Zelensky described the talks with Trump as “very good,” adding “the best thing will come in the future.” Discussions emphasized security guarantees for Ukraine, though no final agreement emerged. President Trump plans to host a joint meeting with the Presidents of Russia and Ukraine to pursue an end to the conflict. French President Macron stressed the need for European representation in those talks
