PESHAWAR: In a significant move to support its most vulnerable citizens, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government has announced the “Roshan Mustaqbal Card” program, offering a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000 to orphaned children across the province.
The initiative is designed to provide financial stability and a brighter future for children who have lost one or both parents. The program has specific eligibility criteria to ensure transparent and targeted assistance.
To qualify, a child must be between the age of one day and 16 years and must have a completed Form ‘B’. The primary requirement is the death certificate of the child’s father. In this case, the child’s mother will be designated as the guardian. If both parents are deceased, another individual can apply to become the guardian.
The application process comes with important guidelines to prevent fraud. Authorities have stressed that only one beneficiary per household is allowed; a family cannot receive aid for both a widow and an orphan from this specific program. Furthermore, a single mobile number can only be registered for one beneficiary, and the guardian’s provided CNIC and phone number must be valid and cannot be changed later.
The government has issued a stern warning that submitting fake documents will lead to legal action. Eligible families are urged to submit their completed application forms, along with the child’s photograph and all required documents, to their concerned Junior Audit Assistant.
A critical deadline looms for potential applicants: all forms must be submitted by August 22nd to be considered for the program.
