The adviser to chief minister on finance, Muzammil Aslam, said here on Thursday that on the instructions of chief minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Ali Amin Gandapur, Rs 874 million have been released to the provincial disaster management authority (PDMA) for the heirs of flood victims in various parts of the province.
This was said by the adviser to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while making an important announcement regarding the government’s efforts to support flood-affected areas.
Finance Advisor Muzammil Aslam stated that, under the Chief Minister’s instructions, an additional Rs 874 million has been allocated to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) for compensation and relief efforts. So far, a total of Rs4 billion has been released to assist those affected by the floods.

On August 16, Rs1.56 billion was released for the Communications and Works (C&W) department, while Rs1.5 billion was allocated to the PDMA. The following day, on August 17, Rs61 million was provided as financial assistance to Transitional Medical Emergency Services (TMEs).
Moreover, Rs500 million was allocated to the PDMA in anticipation of the pre-flood situation before August.
