She felt an overwhelming sense of fear, constantly worrying about the likelihood of being trapped in a flood or landslide.

In her Instagram story the other day, Mahira shared how helpless she felt in those moments; her mind was racing with thoughts of what could happen if a sudden landslide or flash flood occurred. She couldn’t help but think of the countless others who are currently suffering due to the devastating effects of the heavy rains and flash floods.

The Pakistani actress Mahira Khan expressed a profound realisation about the vulnerability people experience in natural disasters. She acknowledged the overwhelming struggle individuals face as they try to protect their lives, homes, and families, often feeling powerless against nature’s wrath in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

She also expressed sorrow for the devastation caused by the recent rains and flooding, praying for mercy and protection for those affected people. The unprecedented rainfall has wreaked havoc across the country, with around 500 lives lost in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan alone, and many others facing severe challenges as floods impact communities in Sindh, particularly the city of lights Karachi, where urban flooding turned homes into islands yesterday.
