Muhammad Islam lost parents

BUNER: Tears rolling out from his eyes, Muhammad Islam resident of village Beshoni, says he loses parents other family members, including father, mother and sister while observing his mother raise his hand and bid farewell to him inside a wave of water, taking him away from him forever.

Talking to a local rescue worker, Muhammad Islam recalled the horrific moment, saying that the incident occurred when he went to the house of his relatives situated above his house and when he returned, all of a sudden flood had swept away his entire family and parents. In the last moment, he saw his mother raising his hand toward him to bed farewell forever.

He said that nothing left in this house for him, and now he will shift to Daggar village, where he will live with his maternal uncle. He said that the sweet memories left in Beshoni village were now left as a dream, and a new life would be needed to start in the house of his maternal uncle.

This is not the story of only Muhammad Islam in Buner, as several children were deprived of the love of their parents and family members, while some parents were deprived of their children. There are different stories in every house of the affected families in Buner.

Situated among the lush green mountains of Buner, and with a small river flowing serenely through its centre, Bishnoi was, until recently, a beautiful village. But it had rained heavily on the morning of August 15, when the villagers woke early and went off to work, they were unaware of how swiftly things were about to change.
