Call attention Notice on illegal recruitments in health department submitted in KP Assembly

call attention notice

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) Members in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Abdul Salam, has submitted a notice to draw attention to illegal recruitments and irregularities in the Mardan Health Department.

The notice states that serious violations have occurred in the recruitment process supervised by the District Health Officer(DHO) Mardan, in which 222 people have been recruited despite the approval of only 66 people as per the required criteria.

The notice further states that this illegal process has increased the financial burden on the health department, and employees are facing difficulties in paying their salaries. In addition, lady health workers are also facing problems in providing funds in the union councils.

The health minister on Friday had promised to punish those who are involved in illegal practices and recruitment in the health department, and asked the citizens to pinpoint those who are involved in nepotism and favouritism in the province.

It should be noted here that the health department is facing several challenges, like a shortage of funds and salary issues for Lady Health workers of the province, while on the other hand, the health high-ups are involved in the embezzlement of funds and illegal recruitment.
