MALAKAND: In a major relief effort, the University of Malakand has announced it will provide free education to students from regions devastated by recent floods.
The initiative offers one free seat in every academic department for students hailing from the flood-affected districts of Swat, Buner, Dir, and Bajaur. The move is designed to support victims during a difficult time and help secure their future through education.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rashid Ahmed stated that the university has a history of standing with the local community in times of crisis, whether after an earthquake or floods. He said this decision reaffirms that commitment.
According to an official notification, this facility is available in all departments except Law, Pharmacy, and Software Engineering. Prospective students from these areas are encouraged to apply before the admission deadline of August 25, 2025.
