Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in parts of Malakand division and the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In a daily weather update, PMD predicted that heavy rain coupled with gusty winds is likely to lash parts of Malakand division, including Shangla, Swat, Buner, and the Hazara division, Battagram, Mansehra and Abbottabad in the next 24 hours.
PMD also predicted rain in parts of Punjab province, while the Motorway police have urged the public to adopt precautionary measures to avoid any untoward mishap on the motorways and highways.

Motorway police in a statement said that rain has started in the central Punjab areas. However, motorways in the area are open for the traffic.
