ISLAMABAD:  In a significant political move, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member of the National Assembly, Faisal Amin Khan, has resigned from all standing committees of national assembly NA.

The resignations are the first to be implemented following important instructions from the party’s founder, Imran Khan. Faisal Amin Khan, who is also the brother of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, has stepped down from key committees including those on Economic Affairs and Food Security.

He has sent his formal resignation to the party’s Chief Whip in the National Assembly, Aamir Dogar.

This action is seen as a direct response to the PTI founder’s strategy. Political experts suggest that this could be the start of a broader protest by the party within the parliament. It is expected that other PTI members may also follow suit and tender their resignations from various parliamentary committees in the coming days.
