NAROWAL : The flood situation in Narowal district has reached a critical level following heavy rains and overflowing rivers.
Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal reported that many villages and suburban areas across the district have been completely submerged by floodwaters. In response to the escalating crisis, the government has called in the Pakistan Army to assist in controlling the situation.
Minister Iqbal declared the next 12 hours as “very important” and critical for the district. Dozens of settlements are underwater, and many residents are being urgently evacuated to safer locations. Relief operations are underway, with district administration officials, rescue agencies, and army personnel all participating.
Tent settlements are being established for those displaced, and the supply of essential food and medicine has begun.
The administration has issued a strong appeal to citizens in dangerous areas to evacuate immediately and to cooperate fully with rescue teams. The government has assured the public that it is utilizing all available resources to save lives and property.
