Earthquake tremors felt in Buner, Dir, and Swat

Earthquake tremors strike Swat, surrounding areas Residents of Swat and Mingora felt earthquake tremors on March 5. Many people rushed out of homes and buildings in fear. No casualties or property damage have been reported. The seismic center recorded a 4.2 magnitude quake. It had a depth of 64 kilometers. The epicenter was in the Hindu Kush mountains. This region is known for frequent seismic activity. The tremors were brief but strong enough to cause panic. Just a week ago, strong tremors hit Islamabad, Peshawar, and other parts of KP. People fled buildings and recited prayers during that quake too.
Earthquake tremors were felt in the Malakand division Swat, Buner, Dir districts on Wednesday evening.

According to local sources, the tremors felt in Buner, Swat, and other districts forced people to come out of their houses and recite Quranic verses.

According to the US Geo Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude earthquake jolted the region and its epicentre recorded as 44KM from eshksham Tajikistan. The earthquake hit parts of Malakand division in Pakistan. However, no human losses were reported from anywhere in the region.
