Tri-Series

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced its 17-player team for the upcoming T20 Tri-Nation series, where they will face Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The tournament will be held in Sharjah from August 29 to September 7.

Star all-rounder Rashid Khan will continue to lead the squad as captain. The selection panel made only one change from the previous team, bringing in emerging fast bowler Abdullah Ahmadzai to replace Naveenul Haq.

The team features a strong spin attack, led by captain Rashid Khan and supported by experienced players like Mohammad Nabi and Mujeeb-ur-Rehman. The pace bowling will be handled by Fazalhaq Farooqi, Farid Ahmad Malik, Karim Janat, and the new call-up, Abdullah Ahmadzai.

The batting lineup includes powerful hitters such as Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, and Darwish Rasooli.

Afghanistan will begin their tournament with a highly anticipated match against Pakistan on August 29. They will then play against the host nation, UAE, on September 1.
