BAJAUR : Former Federal Minister and senior politician Khawaja Saad Rafique visited the Bajaur district on Sunday, where he held a significant meeting with local political and social figures.
The meeting, held at the Civil Colony in Khar, focused primarily on the ongoing security operation in the region and the resulting atmosphere of insecurity. Local leaders shared the problems faced by the public with the visiting dignitary.
Speaking to the attendees, Khawaja Saad Rafique took note of these issues and pledged to work towards solving them. He specifically addressed a major complaint, stating, “In response to public complaints, there will be no more atrocities and abuses against the Bajaur community in Punjab. I will discuss this with the Prime Minister.”
He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts, saying that both the federal and provincial governments should work together to establish peace. He also had a message for the local population: “I tell all Pakhtuns that no matter what, they should not let anyone use their power any more.”
Expressing hope for the future, he said the community hopes peace will be restored after the current operation. On a charitable note, he also announced that his foundation would provide financial aid of Rs. 25,000 each to 200 families affected by the unrest in Bajaur.
