Power cut, evacuation ordered for Lahore’s flood-hit Park View City

Army Called In as Narowal Grapples with Severe Flooding

LAHORE : A severe flood situation has developed in the upscale Park View City residential area after water from the Ravi River breached its protective dam on Thursday.

The floodwaters have inundated the Diamond, Crystal, and Platinum blocks of the society. Local residents reported that water is entering houses very quickly, creating a critical and dangerous situation.

In response to the emergency, the local administration has suspended electricity supply to the affected blocks to prevent electrocution hazards. Officials have also issued immediate evacuation orders for all residents, instructing them to leave their homes to avoid any loss of life.

The breach in the dam has accelerated the flow of water into the area, significantly increasing the risk of further flooding. Rescue and relevant agencies are currently on the ground attempting to control the situation.

Affected residents have urgently called upon the government and disaster management authorities to provide immediate assistance and implement effective measures to protect their lives and property.
