Gold rates soar to all-time high in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan soared to a new record high on Saturday, tracking gains in the international market.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola rose by Rs3,600, settling at Rs367,400. Similarly, the 10-gram rate climbed by Rs3,172 to Rs314,986. “This marks a new all-time high,” confirmed APGJSA’s Abdullah Chand.

The previous peak of Rs363,700 per tola was recorded on April 22, 2025. Just a day earlier, on Friday, gold had closed at Rs363,800 per tola after gaining Rs1,200.

In the global market, gold also advanced, reaching $3,447 per ounce (including a $20 premium), up by $36. Silver followed the upward trend, with its price per tola increasing by Rs81 to Rs4,202.
