The number of social media users in Pakistan has seen rapid growth, officially crossing 510 million accounts, according to a recent report from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
The data reveals which platforms are the most popular among Pakistani users. Facebook remains the country’s leading social media platform with a massive 101.6 million users.
YouTube is a close second, with 96.6 million Pakistani users. TikTok follows in fourth place with 93 million accounts, while the messaging app WhatsApp is used by 91.7 million people in the country.
Other platforms also have significant user bases. Snapchat is used by 79.8 million Pakistanis, and Instagram has 49.9 million users. The report identified a platform referred to as “XK” as the least popular among the major apps, with 15.3 million users.
This continued increase highlights the deep integration of social media into daily life across Pakistan.
