The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a preliminary report detailing the loss of life and property across various districts in the province due to heavy rains, urban flooding, and flash floods since August 30. So far, there have been 5 fatalities and 5 injuries resulting from these weather-related incidents.

The deceased include 4 children and 1 woman, while the injured consist of 1 man, 1 woman, and 3 children.

According to the report, a total of 6 houses have been affected by the rains and urban flooding; 3 houses were partially destroyed, and 3 houses were completely destroyed. These incidents have occurred in several districts, including Peshawar, South Waziristan, Khyber, and Abbottabad.

Since August 15, the province has witnessed a tragic total of 411 deaths and 258 injuries due to various accidents stemming from rain, flash floods, and urban flooding. Additionally, around 3,580 houses have sustained damage.

Authorities in the affected districts have been instructed to enhance relief efforts and provide immediate assistance to those impacted. The PDMA and relevant agencies are actively monitoring the situation.
