AC from Lakki Marwat dies in action while responding to flood crisis

Assistant Commissioner (AC) Pattoki Furqan Ahmed passed away due to a brain aneurysm while actively engaged in relief efforts in flood-affected areas. He had been working tirelessly in severely impacted regions for the past few days and was residing at the Head Balloki Rest House.

Sources indicate that Assistant Commissioner Furqan Ahmed suddenly collapsed after experiencing a health deterioration. Despite immediate medical assistance, he could not be revived.

Sources report that the deceased hailed from the Lakki Marwat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and served as an assistant commissioner in Pattoki, Punjab province.

According to a spokesperson from the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Furqan Ahmed was visiting the flood-affected area of Head Balloki, near the Ravi River, when he suffered a heart attack. His body has since been transferred to the hospital.

In Punjab, several areas have been inundated due to dangerously high water levels in the Ravi, Chenab, and Sutlej rivers in recent days. In response to this crisis, district administration officials, including commissioners, deputy commissioners, and assistant commissioners, are present in the affected areas to monitor the relief and rescue operations.
