High alert issued in Buner district due to continuous heavy rainfall

BUNER: The Deputy Commissioner of Buner, Kashif Qayyum, has issued a high alert after continuous torrential rains leading to rising water levels and potential flooding in the district.

According to local sources, water levels have surged in areas like Batei and Qadrnagar, with fast-flowing water moving towards Pir Baba Khwar.

The residents of the area were informed through mosques and public announcements to move to safer locations as the risk of flash floods and fast water flow increases.

District administration is continuing its efforts to relocate people to designated safe areas, and in case of any emergency, government shelters will be provided for protection.

Rescue 1122, Civil Defense, police, and other emergency services are present on-site to assist with relief and rescue operations.
