Bahrain Defence Chief visits Pakistan Air HQ to boost military ties

ISLAMABAD: Lieutenant General Thiab Saqer Abdulla Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force, visited Air Headquarter and met Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force.

During the meeting, they discussed the centered areas of mutual interest and explored avenues to enhance bilateral military cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to sustained military-to-military engagement, emphasizing joint training and knowledge-sharing.

Upon arrival, a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Air Force presented a Guard of Honour to the visiting dignitary. The Air Chief warmly welcomed Lieutenant General Al Nuaimi.

During the meeting, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to expand bilateral military cooperation, particularly in joint training and operational knowledge exchange. He emphasized the importance Pakistan places on its strong diplomatic and defense ties with Bahrain.

Lieutenant General Al Nuaimi praised the professionalism of Pakistan Air Force personnel and lauded the strides made by PAF in technological advancements. He expressed a keen interest in learning about Pakistan’s expertise in Multi-Domain Operations to enhance the operational readiness of the Bahrain Air Force.

The Bahraini dignitary commended the role of the National Aerospace Science & Technology Park in fostering innovation and building advanced indigenous capabilities.

The visit included a tour of the National ISR & Integrated Air Operations Centre and the PAF Cyber Command, where Lieutenant General Al Nuaimi was briefed on the operational capabilities of the Pakistan Air Force.
