ISLAMABAD: The Nanbai Association has demanded that the price of bread be increased and a uniform rate be set for Nan and bread in urban and rural areas of Islamabad.

The Nanbai Association has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, saying that the price of bread should be set uniformly in urban and rural areas.

The letter states that after the prices of fine flour were fixed, a 20-kilogram bag of flour has increased by Rs 2,000, and LPG prices have also increased. The association says that, keeping in mind the current situation, a new rate list should be issued by increasing the price of bread.

The Nan bai association further said that there is severe inflation, and due to floods in Punjab, prices of different items fluctuated in the market, which has also put pressure on the prices of flour. Therefore, the government must issue a uniform price mechanism both in urban and rural areas of Islamabad.
