Total Lunar eclipse will be seen on the night between September 07 and 08

The second total lunar eclipse of this year will be visible in Pakistan on the night between September 7 and 8, which will be a memorable moment for astronomy enthusiasts.

According to the Meteorological Department, this lunar eclipse will be visible not only in Pakistan but also in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, North and South America, which makes it a unique astronomical event on a global scale.

Lunar eclipse timings (Pakistan time): Moonlight begins to dim: 8:28 PM, Partial eclipse begins: 9:27 PM, Total eclipse begins: 10:31 PM, Eclipse at its peak: 11:12 PM, Total eclipse ends: 11:53 PM, Partial eclipse ends: 12:57 PM, Total eclipse ends: 1:55 AM, This total eclipse will last for more than an hour and a reddish moon (sometimes called a “blood moon”) will be visible in the sky.

The Meteorological Department has further stated that the second and last partial solar eclipse of the year will take place on September 21 and 22, which will be visible in the southern part of Australia, the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean and Antarctica. However, this solar eclipse will not be visible in Pakistan.

No special safety precautions are required during a lunar eclipse, however, astronomers recommend that it can be an amazing experience if you observe it through binoculars or a telescope.
