Peshawar BISE announces HSSC results 2025

In a remarkable achievement, female students from the Peshawar Board swept the top positions in the secondary school certificate (SSC) exams 2025

PESHAWAR: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar on Thursday announced the results of intermediate examinations, recording an overall pass percentage of 72%.

According to official figures, 62,322 candidates appeared in the exams, of which 44,902 students passed. In the Medical Group, 25,794 out of 33,317 candidates cleared the exams with a 77% success rate. The Engineering Group recorded a 59% pass rate, with 2,103 students passing out of 3,586. Meanwhile, the Humanities Group registered a 78% pass rate, as 11,603 out of 14,893 candidates qualified. In the Computer Science Group, 5,402 out of 10,526 students passed, reflecting a 51% pass rate.

At a ceremony honoring FA and FSC position holders, Provincial Education Minister Faisal Tarki congratulated the students and reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting education. He said exam reforms this year, including merging halls of government and private colleges, improved transparency.

The minister acknowledged issues such as furniture shortages but assured that reforms are underway. He highlighted that PKR 36.4 billion has been allocated for education in the current fiscal year, with further measures being taken to enroll out-of-school children.

Faisal Tarki added that the government aims to digitize the education system and shift toward paperless practices, urging parents and communities to play their role in ensuring children’s regular attendance at schools.
