QUETTA: District administration has ordered to seal the unregistered schools run by Afghan nationals in the provincial capital of Balochistan.
According to details, the Deputy Commissioner of Quetta, Mehrullah Badini, chaired a meeting to discuss pressing issues in the district’s education sector.
The meeting decided to close schools operated by Afghan nationals in areas such as Hazara Town and Pashtunabad. Afghan teachers and students associated with these institutions are also set to be deported, following recent government directives aimed at controlling illegal immigration.
In addition to addressing the status of refugee schools, officials were instructed to tackle the problem of land encroachments on school properties. Illegal encroachments on educational sites, including Chashma Achozai and Nawab Akbar Bugti schools, are to be removed within one week.
