Kazakh DPM to visit Pakistan with 13-member delegation tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu will pay an official visit to Pakistan from September 8–9, leading a 13-member high-level delegation, the Foreign Office announced on Saturday.

The visit comes in preparation for the anticipated trip of the Kazakh President to Pakistan in November this year. Kazakhstan’s Minister of Transport will also accompany the delegation.

During the two-day visit, joint working group meetings on agriculture and IT will be held. Deputy PM Nurtleu is scheduled to hold a one-on-one meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, followed by delegation-level talks. He will also call on Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister.

The discussions will review preparations for the Kazakh President’s upcoming visit and explore all dimensions of Pakistan-Kazakhstan cooperation, with emphasis on trade, investment, agriculture, education, tourism, and cultural exchanges.

According to the FO spokesperson, regional connectivity, logistics, and collaboration at multilateral platforms will also feature in the talks. The visit is expected to further consolidate Pakistan-Kazakhstan ties and advance bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of both nations.
