PESHAWAR:The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has made it mandatory to have a license for teaching, conducting another experiment. The Education Department will also set up a regulatory body at a cost of Rs 200 million for registration.
According to the documents of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has decided to issue licenses for teachers, under which no one will be able to teach in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa without a license.

The regulatory body will prepare TORs for teachers’ licenses and teachers who meet the standards will be issued licenses, while renewal will be subject to performance.
It is to mentioned here that the decision has been taken to keep close watch over teachers who are teaching in private schools having no teaching experience while another reason for this licens was aimed to generate funding to run the affairs of the regulatory body.
