PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has launched, Digital Skills Initiative Program, under the Information Technology Board, aiming to empower youth with market-relevant digital skills, on Tuesday.
KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur officially inaugurated the program at the Chief Minister House in an event.
According to details, 27,450 young people across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be trained in globally recognized and industry-demanded digital skills. Additionally, 2,888 graduates will be offered scholarships for global certification.
Digital Skills Initiative Program also includes career counseling and mentorship for graduates. During the first phase, over 6,000 applicants registered, out of which 1,268 youth were selected based on merit to join the first training batch.
The program covers 24 different digital fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Computer Networking, Graphic Designing, Game Development, Social Media Marketing, and more.

While speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that the initiative aims to produce a skilled workforce capable of securing employment in local industries as well as the global freelance market. He praised the IT Board team for their efforts and congratulated the selected graduates.
