Pakistan and China team up to launch joint Space Science Training Center

BEIJING: Pakistan and China have agreed to establish joint Space Science Training Center to further enhance cooperation in space-related activities. This initiative is part of a comprehensive action plan between the two countries for the period 2025 to 2029.

According to details, the agreement was made under the ongoing Space Cooperation Outline Program (2021-2030) between the China National Space Administration (CNSA) and Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO).

The new center will facilitate the joint selection and training of astronauts, paving the way for Pakistan’s future participation in human space missions.

China and Pakistan also agreed to continue collaborative research on the Moon and deep space, including multilateral reviews of the International Lunar Research Station and cooperation on advanced space technologies.

Discussions were also emphasized on establishing a Pakistan Space Center, which will serve as a hub for research, development, and practical applications of space technology to promote economic and social progress.
