Flour prices skyrocket in Swabi, 20kg bag now Rs. 2,300

SWABI: The price of flour has increased sharply in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, leaving citizens deeply concerned. The cost of a 20kg bag of regular flour has surged from Rs. 1,300 to as high as Rs. 2,300.

Resident showed concerned over the recent surge in flour prices, adding that further pressure on household budgets already burdened by rising electricity costs and other essentials.

While expressing their frustration, the local said that flour a basic essential is becoming unaffordable even for the middle class. With sugar prices having already spiked earlier, the back-to-back increase in food essentials is pushing many families to the brink.

They urged the authorities to take immediate action to stabilize prices and provide relief to the common man.
