The District and Sessions Court, Islamabad, has issued an arrest warrant against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in the liquor and weapons recovery case.
During the hearing of the case, no one appeared in the court on behalf of Ali Amin Gandapur, over which the court expressed its anger and ordered his arrest and production in the court on September 17. It should be remembered that a case has been registered against Ali Amin Gandapur at Bara Kahu police station on charges of possessing liquor and weapons. The court has taken action against his non-appearance. Action is expected from the Islamabad Police after the court order, however, there has been no response from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government or the Chief Minister’s office so far. Chief Minister Ali Gandapur is the Chief Executive of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and despite court order police could not arrest him due to impunity of his designation, however he appearing in court for all his cases filed against him.
